
2006 FIFA World Cup : Ticket Management
Objectives
Design and implement a turnkey ticket management solution for the FIFA World Cup in Germany, including developing a web-based system to invoice and bill more than 20,000 FIFA World Cup match tickets to B2B guests, business partners, and Avaya employees.
Solutions
SportsMark developed an array of systems to manage, sell, and distribute more than 20,000 tickets worldwide. A web-based solution was created for ticket allocation and registration allowing internal regions, business partners, and employees to order and manage ticket packages for exact matches, teams, and cities after the FIFA Final Draw.
SportsMark’s IT staff managed the data transfer from our online tools into the FIFA TIMS ticket management system. The actual ticket pick-up, movement, storage, allocation and shipping of all tickets and hospitality packages was managed by our staff in the U.S. and Germany.
Results
SportsMark successfully managed and fulfilled 20,210 FIFA World Cup tickets with flawless execution. Our shared Avaya/SportsMark collection efforts and efficient accounting system allowed for 100% accountability on payment for all ticket and hospitality package orders.
